The man was on foot when the crash happened Friday night.
HARRIS COUNTY, Texas — A man was struck and killed Friday night in east Harris County, according to the Sheriff Ed Gonzalez.
HCSO deputies responded to the crash near Woodforest and Normandy and pronounced the man dead at the scene. The vehicle believed to be involved, described as a white pickup truck, fled before deputies arrived.
The road is a divided boulevard in a residential area with multiple apartment buildings nearby.
The sheriff’s office has not released additional details about the victim or the circumstances leading up to the crash. The investigation is ongoing.
