SIR Keir Starmer has become the latest victim of a hilarious parody video – as he is forced into an embarrassing U-turn over the Mandelson files.
The PM’s future hangs in the balance after admitting he knew Mandy had remained pals with Jeffrey Epstein after the paedo’s conviction.
The satirical AI-generated video shows the Prime Minister performing a rendition of Barry Manilow’s popular tune Oh Mandy.
Dubbed Keir Starmer‘s “resignation song”, the embattled PM is initially shown playing a piano while sporting a white tuxedo.
At one point, he can be seen serenading the disgraced peer, who is digitally altered to be wearing a red dress.
While he sings, hilarious clips show the pair embracing, rolling down a hill and sitting together in a field.
The Prime Minister can be heard singing hilariously modified lyrics to the classic 70s song, made by the Crewkerne Gazette.
It goes: “Oh Mandy, well you came and you lied without breaking… but I sent you away.
“Oh Mandy, well you leaked to Jeff and stopped me from shaking… and I need you today.”
Angry Labour MPs have torn into Sir Keir’s decision to hire the disgraced peer despite his well-known relationship with the mega-rich financier.
He was hit with a major revolt for attempting to limit what papers could be released about his appointment of Mandelson as US ambassador.
On one of his worst days in office, Sir Keir had been accused of trying to cover up key sections on national security grounds.
Amid the drama at Westminster – spearheaded by leadership contender Angela Rayner – No10 was forced into its latest humiliating U-turn.
The Mandelson Papers will now be assessed by Parliament’s Intelligence and Security Committee — rather than the PM’s top civil servant.
In a further blow, the release of other papers the PM did want public was blocked by police over fears they would prejudice their investigation.
One Labour MP told The Telegraph the Prime Minister is “on the ropes”, and a frontbencher reportedly said it felt “terminal” for Sir Keir.
Others are demanding the PM sack his chief of staff Morgan McSweeney as a starting point.
One Labour minister told The Sun: “Morgan has got to go — minimum.”
They added: “And I think it’s untenable for the PM too now.”
But Sir Keir is not the first senior Labour figure to be trolled in a parody music video.
Last year, Rachel Reeves was targeted in a hilarious viral rap video after admitting she broke housing rules in a grovelling letter.
Ms Reeves was ruthlessly mocked for the blunder in an AI-generated video branding her a “rent queen” this morning.
It is also reminiscent of the video and memes about former Labour Deputy Leader Angela Rayner‘s failure to pay stamp duty.
The former Deputy PM’s computer-generated double was shown dancing in the Commons in a skit titled How Many Homes Can Rayner Buy?
She is also seen flashing the cash, wearing a fur coat over her tracksuit and smoking two cigarettes at once.
The row over Sir Keir’s decision to hire Mandelson last year blew up following the release of damning new evidence in the US.
Documents appear to show the former Cabinet Minister leaking confidential information to Epstein.
Sir Keir told a packed chamber that Mandelson had betrayed the country and would be stripped of his title.
The King had already agreed to remove Mandelson as a member of the Privy Council.
A probe has already been launched into claims Mandelson leaked market-sensitive information in 2009, when he was in Gordon Brown’s Cabinet.
Speaking yesterday, Sir Keir was forced to admit for the first time that he did know the pair stayed friends after the tycoon’s conviction.
It came in response to a killer question from Tory leader Kemi Badenoch.
She asked: “Can the Prime Minister tell us did the official security vetting he received mention Mandelson’s ongoing relationship with the paedophile Jeffrey Epstein?”
During the fiery exchange, he confessed: “Yes it did.”
