(NewsNation) — A honey product marketed for “energy support” is being recalled after FDA testing revealed the presence of an undeclared ingredient commonly found in erectile dysfunction medication.
Akkarco LLC of Lorton, Virginia, is recalling Ashfiat Alharamain Energy Support after testing revealed the presence of undeclared Tadalafil, the FDA announced.
Tadalafil is only FDA-approved for use under medical supervision and thus taking it without proper authorization could lead to adverse side effects, including “cardiovascular complications, blood pressure changes, dizziness, headache and other related symptoms,” the FDA said.
The recalled product comes in a glass bottle with an orange label, UPC 1234561870003, batch number ENCOT24, and an expiration date of Oct. 2028. It was distributed nationwide through the company’s website and third-party online marketplaces, including Amazon.com.
So far, there have been no reported complications with the product. Consumers who purchased it are advised to stop using it immediately.
