A MAN has died following a horror collision between two vehicles.
Emergency services rushed to the scene at around 9.40am with a report of a collision involving a car transporter and Honda Civic on the A417 Birdlip bypass in Gloucester.
The driver of the latter vehicle, a man aged in his 40s, was pronounced dead at the scene.
His next of kin have been informed and are being supported by specially trained officers.
Three passengers of the car, a woman and two young children, were also rushed to hospital in Bristol where they were treated for their injuries.
The driver of the car transporter was assessed by paramedics and did not sustain any serious injuries.
Several road closures have been put into place and are expected to remain for several hours while a collision investigation takes place.
Investigating officers are now appealing for anyone who witnessed the collision or has any relevant dashcam footage to get in contact.
