Mia Winward-Dunn says she was branded a w***e by her own father after turning her back on a conventional career path and rebranding herself as an OnlyFans model.
The 20-year old daughter of former Emmerdale actress Sammy Winward and retired footballer David Dunn stunned her parents after opting to cash-in on the subscription only site, where successful models can earn thousands of pounds a week.
Now pregnant with her first child, Mia says she is no longer active on OnlyFans and remains estranged from her mother and father – who reacted furiously to her initial decision to join the site.
‘I tried to reconnect with my dad and he called me a w***e on the phone,’ she told The Sun in 2025.
Winward and Dunn, a former attacking midfielder whose performances for Blackburn Rovers earned him an England cap, welcomed Mia in 2005, but their relationship ended just three months after her birth.
‘I’m completely fully cut off and they want any sort of contact, which is really big shame because I thought I’d be the bigger person in the whole situation,’ she said.

‘I think it’s crazy to have such anger towards me when I am in fact at the end of the day their daughter.
‘I do totally get the fact that they don’t love what I do, but at the same time, I am, I’m a human being and especially – I am the human being that came out of my mother.’
At one point, Mia made an astonishing £100,000 a month by stripping off fully nude for OnlyFans subscribers, meaning she now won’t have to work while she’s pregnant.
And while the decision to embark on an OnlyFans career created a widening rift with her parents – who separated just three months after her birth, in 2005 – she remains unrepentant about making the move.
‘I don’t regret it because I had the best year or two of my life traveling the world doing shoots with amazing people,’ she said.
‘But that has come to an end now, as I’ve officially stopped doing it.’
Mia now lives a wholesome life in the Lake District with the ‘multi-talented’ father of her unborn child, who she has been with for one year, but has decided not to name.
But both her parents remain unaware of her pregnancy, with Mia mindful of potential conflict while she is carrying their grandchild.
She said: ‘I haven’t reached out to them yet and they don’t really know how to contact me. I am emotionally vulnerable while I’m pregnant and I really don’t want a big, stressful situation.’

Sammy Winward leaves Granada Studios with baby Mia in 2006. The 20-year old now says she ‘may have been spoiled materially, but I was definitely neglected emotionally’
In a sign of hope, Mia wishes she could have special moments with her mother and would love to go shopping for baby clothes with her.
She said: ‘There’s a lot to forgive and that process hasn’t even started yet,’ but she is ready to apologise, as long as her parents do too.
The expectant mother previously claimed she felt ‘lonely and controlled’ during her childhood and would sometimes only see her mother for just ’10 minutes a day’ due to her hectic filming schedule on Emmerdale.
She recalled: ‘I was raised by a 19-year-old soap star… I may have been spoiled materially, but I was definitely neglected emotionally.
‘I often felt lonely, picked on and controlled – about what I wore, what I said in public and most of all unsupported.
‘At times her choices – like boyfriends – left me feeling scared and sometimes it felt like too much pressure was placed on my shoulders.’
