Desperate search for missing schoolboy, 11, who vanished from market town as family concerned for his welfare

A FRANTIC search has been launched for an 11-year-old boy who disappeared from a quiet market town.

Junior was last seen at around 6pm yesterday evening in Knaresborough, North Yorkshire.

His desperate family have been unable to contact him since he vanished and are growing concerned for his welfare.

North Yorkshire Police is conducting extensive enquiries to locate the missing schoolboy.

The force is now appealing for the public’s help in locating the youngster.

Anyone who sees the missing boy is asked to contact North Yorkshire Police immediately.

Junior is described as a Black male, around a 5ft 5ins tall, of slim build, with short black hair.

He was last seen wearing a green and black tracksuit.

The force said: “If you have seen Junior or have any information that could assist us, please call us on 101 and pass information to the Force Control Room.

“If you have an immediate sighting, please dial 999.

“Please quote job number 12260004606 when providing any information.”
