Although Kat Dennings didn’t officially return for Avengers: Doomsday, MCU fans might still catch a glimpse of Darcy Lewis.
The actress recently noted that Marvel Studios “did scan me” during her time working on the Thor movies, and they could “put me in anything they want at this point” ahead of the Avengers: Doomsday premiere on Dec. 18.
“I’m in the universe, and as you know, I can’t tell you anything, but I am not in [Doomsday],” she told Entertainment Tonight. “I mean, I’m not in it. And I’m telling you right now, I’m not in it. If I were in it, which I’m not, I couldn’t tell you, but I literally am not. I’m sure they already filmed it. I was here, I’m not in it.”
Dennings added, “But they did scan me, so to be honest, they could put me in anything they want at this point. Who knows? I’m in the system!”
As Hollywood struggles to embrace AI, body scans have become increasingly routine for actors, with Charlize Theron also undergoing one for the MCU. Meanwhile, UK members of Equity voted to refuse on-set scans last month.
Also last month, Marvel brought Chris Hemsworth’s Thor back for one of several Avengers: Doomsday teasers, featuring the massive ensemble.
