Fans of NCIS: Tony & Ziva took advantage of the media presence in Times Square last night to petition for the return of their beloved show, which was canceled last month.

Fans bought a billboard at the Times Square-adjacent intersection of Broadway and 49th.

Per a social media message from the group, “At the 46th minute of every hour, for 24 hours, the ‘Save Tony and Ziva’ billboard will play for :30 seconds. The billboard is located at 1619 Broadway, between 49th and 50th street.”

The group also launched a web site with information on the effort.

The spinoff series starring Michael Weatherly and Cote de Pablo as the beloved titular characters was canceled in December.

Weatherly took to social media to acknowledge the effort.

“I want to just say how much this made me smile and maybe even nudged my tear ducts,” the actor wrote, “…beautiful, and I want to say a GIGANTIC thank you to any and all involved. I see you. I appreciate you. Big kiss for 2026.”

Tony & Ziva, which premiered September 4, was among Luminate’s Top 10 streaming series from September 5 to 11 — quite an impressive feat, especially considering the available runtime for the show and the competition it was up against.  With four of the show’s 10 episodes available within the measurement period, it still managed 6.8M hours viewed. That was enough to put it in seventh place, per Luminate.

It was clear well before premiere that there was a huge appetite for this NCIS spinoff given that the trailer broke the franchise’s record for most views in a week with a whopping 93M.
