A FORMER US Navy sailor who served in the War in Afghanistan before trading in her life at war for porn has revealed she’s now homeless.
Addyson James, 46, wrote messages on bombs destined to be dropped of Osama bin Laden’s terrorist army after the seismic 9/11 terror attacks in 2001.
But in a staggering career change, she hung up her naval fatigues and instead pursued a life as a top porn star.
In an exclusive interview with The Sun, she revealed it hasn’t all been glitz and glamour.
And now she relies on friends to keep a roof over her head because filming adult content doesn’t pay enough.
Despite being nominated for awards for her work, the 46-year-old is now struggling to make ends meet.
She told The Sun: “I just want people to understand that we as porn stars are not rich people, you might see us on a red carpet event and this and that, and that all looks good, but it’s not what you think it is.”
Addyson went on: “One of the things that I’ve been very vocal about lately is porn stars are not rich.
“There are 1 per cent of people who are on OnlyFans who shoot porn that actually make a lot of moneyand the common misconception is, if they see us on camera they think, ‘oh, I thought they made $10,000 a scene’.
“Most people don’t even make $10,000 a year shooting porn.”
The US Navy veteran now lives at Sheri’s Ranch – a legal brothel just outside of Las Vegas.
James, from Vermont, Canada, served as an aircraft logistics specialist for the final three of her five years after joining the US Navy in 1998.
She spent most of her time stationed at UK-US military base, Diego Garcia, in the central Indian Ocean.
And she even remembers writing messages in chalk on bombs ready to be dropped in Afghanistan, where al-Qaeda were based.
Addyson, which is her stage name, told The Sun: “The stealth bombers were flying in.
“We were putting bombs on them and launching those planes out, and they were dropping bombs on Afghanistan.”
The former sailor said it was the “first time” in her career she understood the importance of her service.
She remembered writing in the bombs on chalk – scrawling “USA” and signing her name.
Addyson said: “It was incredibly important with the missions that we were completing.”
But during her downtime, Addyson says she was busy romping with other sailors when she could.
At one point she even claims she had sex on a plane hangar on board the aircraft carrier, USS Nimitz.
She added: “I came from a small town, my graduating class was like 90 people and I never dated in high school.
“When I got into the Navy, all of a sudden there were thousands of people, men were flocking to me, and it’s something I’ve never experienced.
“So I took advantage of that and had a lot of sex with a lot of people, and it was really fun.
“When I was on the USS Nimitz, and I don’t know how we pulled it off to this day, there was a plane in the hangar and it had the engines removed.
“So it was just a big open barrel and I had sex with someone in there, in the engine.
“To this day I don’t know how we didn’t get caught. We took a big risk there but that’s part of the fun.”
James quit the Navy in 2003 as she craved a new life and initially began a career as an aesthetician.
Then in 2022 she was approached about doing porn, something she was open to having been to various swingers parties in the years prior.
She said: “While I was in the Navy I always loved to do photo shoots.
“When I was in California I shot with some photographers just for my own thing and I remember saying when I was younger, one day I’m going to be in Playboy.
“I became a swinger 15 years ago, so I was pretty open sexually.
“Then three years ago, I was approached by a company about doing porn and I was never afraid of porn.
“I hesitated a little bit because I wasn’t sure if I was ready to be on the internet and what that might do to my current career of being an aesthetician.
“They were topless in lingerie but I wasn’t shooting any porn videos or any solo videos like that.
“I loved feeling confident in my skin and just kind of keeping track of what I looked like over the years.”
But three years later, she says she’s homeless because it doesn’t pay well enough.
She’s also started to work as a sex worker at Sheri’s Ranch to help make ends meet due to her measly incomings from adult films.
Addyson revealed she was approached three times before she agreed to do porn.
She said: “I said, you know what, I’m ready to do this. I was not against sex. I was not against any of those things.
“And at that point in my life, I had had some things happen and I said, you know what? Why not?
“Whatever happens, happens.
“It could be a one and done and nothing comes of it, or it could turn into something wonderful.”
But despite appearing on red carpets and enjoying legions of fans – she revealed she’s now been homeless for four months.
She told The Sun: “I don’t make any money in porn. It’s a lot of work.”
While for some scenes she can be paid up to $1,200 – the money can dry up quick.
And in order to keep working, she has to fork out $300 every week for STI testing – as well as forking out 15 per cent for agent fees.
Addyson went on: “During the springtime, things were busy. I was shooting five to seven scenes a month.
“I just call that $1200 a scene, I’m making pretty good money and I was able to survive.
“Then summer hits and I went from five to seven scenes a month to zero scenes for over two months.
“So during this period, I stayed with some friends.
“Then I heard about Sheri’s and I contemplated it and then I did some research and I said, I think this is going to be the best thing I can do for supplemental income, and it will give me a place to stay.
“So that’s why I decided to come here, which has been a huge blessing. I am confident of turning this around.
“I suspect in the next month or so I’ll have enough money to do all the things I need to do and get back on my feet.”
