TWO Men have died in a horror crash involving a recovery truck and a car on a busy rural road.
The fatal accident happened on the A487 Porthmadog bypass in the evening of December 20, shortly before 9.30pm.

The deceased have been named as Matthew Hardy and Daniel Atkinson.
Both men were confirmed dead at the scene, according to North Wales Police, with the crash involving an Isuzu recovery truck and a Volkswagen Golf.
Cops have now appealed for witnesses to come forward and said it had referred itself to the Independent Office for Police Conduct.
The force said in a statement: “Sadly, the driver of the recovery vehicle, 34-year-old Matthew Hardy, from Pwllheli, was pronounced dead at the scene and his family are being supported by specially trained Family Liaison Officers.
“The driver of the Golf, 40-year-old Daniel Atkinson of Blaenau Ffestiniog, also died at [the] scene.
“His family have also been contacted by specially trained officers.”
Detective Sergeant Katie Davies, from North Wales Police’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit, added: “Our thoughts are very much with the families and friends of both men.
“We are appealing to anybody who may have information that could assist with our ongoing investigation to contact us as soon as possible.
“The road will remain closed until later this afternoon (December 22). We’d like to thank the local community and motorists for their ongoing patience and understanding.”
Following the crash, Chief Inspector Trystan Bevan of the NWP Roads Policing Unit said: “This is sadly being investigated as a fatal road traffic collision. I offer my deepest condolences to the families at this difficult time.
“I am appealing to anyone who was travelling on the A487 between 21.00-21.40 on 20/12/25 who witnessed the collision or may have dashcam footage, to get in touch with police.”
