The above-ground pools sold nationwide at major retailers between January 2021 through July 2025.
WASHINGTON — Blue Wave Products Inc. recalled roughly 13,400 above-ground pools Thursday due to drowning risks.
The recall extends to various Blue Wave pools, which were sold major retailers like Home Depot, Lowe’s, and Dunham’s Sports, as well as online via Amazon, Walmart and Wayfair between January 2021 through July 2025. See a full list below.
The compression strap, or reinforcing belt, that wraps around the pool and support poles may create a way to climb in even if the ladder is removed and lead to drowning, according to the recall.
Although the hazard is serious, there have been no reported incidents or injuries.
Customers are encouraged to ensure children cannot access the pool unattended or to drain the pool until a repair is installed. A free repair kit can be ordered through Blue Wave.

All Blue Wave pools over 48 inches in height with compression straps, are included in this recall. The products sold for between $600 and $2,000. Model information is located on the original packaging and instruction manual, while the Blue Wave logo is printed on the pool’s outer liner.
