Mum Danielle McKenna, 46, did not say how her release was won.

But she was being assisted by the Foreign Office and an appeal was said to be under way.

Danielle, who launched an appeal for legal funds, posted online: “Thank you so much everyone. Am still in shock.

“Can’t wait to give her the tightest cuddle ever.

“My baby’s coming home.”

Mia, of Huyton, Merseyside, was found guilty of having and supplying drugs after police said they found cocaine worth £2,500 at a raided flat.

She denied the charges at a July trial held in Arabic but was convicted, jailed and fined £100,000.

It was previously reported that her ex-cellmate — detained for leaving the scene of a car accident and released after paying a £3,000 fine — said: “Mia had fallen out with her friend as she said it was the boyfriend who had the cocaine.

“Her problem was that they had all been arrested and Mia had it in her system.

“Her friend didn’t so she was released and is back in the UK. Mia thinks she must have stitched her up to get home.”

The Foreign Office has been approached for comment.
