A DUMPER lorry with no brakes and a 17-tonne load sparked highway carnage after crashing into 12 cars and bashing a bus off the road.
Jaw-dropping footage showed the van speeding downhill before losing control and ploughing into a packed line of traffic without stopping.
In the clip, the lorry can be seen rushing down before it loses complete control on a road in Colombia.
The massive van then rams into a number of cars as well as a public bus in the neighbourhood of Robledo in Medellin on November 22.
The staggering footage then shows the heavy lorry continuing its descent as it smashes into vehicles one by one.
Authorities claimed the lorry was carrying 17 tonnes of material at the time of the crash.
The horrifying chain collision involved 12 other vehicles, authorities said.
And the bus that was hit was seen skidding off into a lot as it was pushed off the main road.
Three people suffered injuries and were rushed to hospital shortly after.
The bus driver was one of those injured in the dramatic collision, while the other two were inside a separate vehicle at the time.
Out of the 12 cars which were damaged, one was completely destroyed, police said.
They added that 20 traffic agents and cops were at the scene probing the cause of the smash.
Preliminary investigations reportedly pointed to a failure in the lorry’s braking system.
Experts will now analyse the full extent of the crash to get to the bottom of why it unfolded.
It comes after jaw-dropping footage showed a motorist flying off the road and plunging down a steep flight of steps after suffering a headache.
Railson Souza, 48, hurtled through the air and smashed through metal railings, before ending up trapped in the mangled wreck in Brazil.
And earlier this month, at least 37 people were killed and another 24 injured after a horror bus crash in Peru.
The vehicle plunged nearly 700 feet down an enormous ravine near Ocona in the country’s southern region of Arequipa.
Harrowing pictures of the accident showed the bus lying on its side by a river.
