A GERMAN drug-dealer was allowed to stay in Britain because he does not speak German well enough to be sent back there.
Saleh Hussein Hamid, 25, swerved deportation at the 11th hour by arguing he would face “very significant obstacles” to integrating — even though he is a German citizen.
The drug-dealer, who took orders through his phone like a food delivery rider, was jailed for 33 months in September 2022.
He was snared in a police sting where he unknowingly dropped off heroin and crack cocaine to an undercover officer.
It led to his conviction on eight counts of supplying Class A and Class B drugs across West Yorks.
The Home Office ruled Hamid was a foreign criminal and told him he would be sent packing when he was released from jail.
But the migrant’s lawyers appealed under human rights rules by claiming Hamid had arrived in Britain as a child and could not speak German.
They also claimed he would be targeted by far-right German groups as the country was less tolerant of his Muslim faith.
A judge’s ruling Hamid could stay has now been quashed and a new one will be made next year.
Earlier this year, a Polish drug dealer, Nikodem Lopata, who came to Britain at the age of four, swerved removal after claiming he could not speak any Polish.
He was caught with crack and heroin, and was carrying a “Rambo-style” machete.
