BBC director-general Tim Davie dramatically resigned last night following the latest scandal to hit the broadcaster.
It comes after a leaked memo written by the former BBC editorial and guidelines committee adviser, said the BBC misled viewers by doctoring clips of a Donald Trump speech.

A Panorama episode spliced together different sections of President Trump’s speech on January 6, 2021.
Former Prime Minister, Boris Johnson said he would stop paying his licence fee until the BBC bosses came clean over the controversial footage.
Rupert Lowe also took to social media last night and said: “I don’t trust the BBC for one second to be fair, honest or impartial.
“Scrap the licence fee, defund the BBC and make it a subscription service.”
As criticism mounts against Britain’s broadcaster, should the £174.50 licence fee be stopped?
