TWO of the murderers of Ben Kinsella — the brother of EastEnders actress Brooke — are bidding to be freed.

Juress Kika and Jade Braithwaite could be out of jail within weeks.

Along with Michael Alleyne they were sentenced in 2009 to life, with a minimum of 19 years, for the killing.

Ben, 16, was stabbed to death in Islington, North London, in June 2008 while celebrating the end of his GCSEs.

The Sun on Sunday has learned Kika, now 35, was recommended to be moved to an open prison by the Parole Board in June.

He has since been transferred to a low security jail ahead of possibly being released, the Ministry of Justice confirmed.

A parole panel is set to decide if Braithwaite, now 36, should make the same move at a hearing on November 27.

A Parole Board spokesman said any decisions made are solely focused on “what risk a prisoner could represent to the public”.

Alleyne, now 34, has not yet been referred and is still behind bars.

Brooke, 42, who played Kelly Taylor in the BBC soap until 2004, set up anti-knife crime charity The Ben Kinsella Trust in 2008.

She previously said of the charity: “We’ve worked so hard to make a difference.”

The Kinsella family are thought to be aware of the moves.

The Ben Kinsella Trust declined to comment.
