POLICE have arrested a suspect in connection with the rape of a teenage girl.
The young girl was reportedly sexually assaulted by an unknown man in a park in Kent on Saturday October 18.
Police have arrested a man in his 30s on suspicion of rape after making extensive enquiries following the reported assault.
The suspect, now in custody, is believed to have initially approached the victim on her way home in Tunbridge Wells.
He then struck up conversation and they walked together towards Mount Ephriam Road.
The man then reportedly lured the girl into Tunbridge Wells Common and assaulted her.
Police said the horrific offence occurred between 8pm and 9:45pm next to a rock formation on the common.
Kent Police is asking anyone with information to come forward as they investigate the case.
