NIGEL Farage is currently on track become the next Prime Minister and Keir Starmer will be gone next year, Dominic Cummings has claimed.

The Vote Leave mastermind hailed “one-man band” Nigel as favourite to lead the country, but said he needs to build a top team around him.

Cummings said the Reform UK leader needed to bring in “talented people” if he wants the keys to Number 10.

Launching a scathing attack at the current PM, he accused Sir Keir Starmer of being “rubbish at politics”.

After a tumultuous year in power, he suggested the Labour party would have a new leader and Starmer would “be gone by 2026”.

But hailed Farage for his strong position on immigration and Brexit, before admitting he would be tempted to vote for the 61-year-old.

Speaking to The Times, Cummings said: “I agree with him about Brexit. And he’s been right about the immigration thing. All the way along.

“He’s the first major figure in Westminster who said, we are going down a strategic disaster with this.

“If by the local elections next year he’s built the team the country wants to see… you have to say that he’s the favourite at that point, for sure.”

Cummings went on to suggest the Royal Navy could be deployed to deal with the small boat crisis under Farage’s premiership.

Mr Cummings, who helped mastermind Britain’s decision to leave the EU in 2016, also hit out at Kemi Badenoch.

He slammed the Tory leader as “lazy” and claimed “no one knew” any of the members of the shadow cabinet.

Earlier this year, it was reported Cummings was teaming up with billionaire Elon Musk to target Sir Keir Starmer online.

Cummings was said to be guiding the Tesla chief’s social media attacks, with the pair communicating via WhatsApp.

In 2023, it was alleged the former chief adviser was plotting the creation of a new political party to challenge the Tories.

He told he was sounding out donors to try to launch his venture by Christmas.

In a series of blog posts, Mr Cummings said it was “time to build up to replace the rotten Tories and win”.

At the time, he said future Labour failures would offer his so-called Startup Party a huge opportunity to take power in 2028.

Cummings said the new party would be tougher on crime and immigration.
