EASYJET stewardesses fear their new revamped uniform could give passengers an eyeful of their underwear.

The budget airline has flown into turbulence with crew amid claims its new shirt is too tight and easily slides up if crew bend over or stretch in the cabin.

The new look, which also includes a dress, left, launches next month to commemorate the no-frills carrier’s 30th anniversary this year.

But a stewardess who asked not to be named said: “There is a serious backlash among crew because the new dress feels like it is cut from a cheaper material which makes it ill-fitting.

Many women have now opted to wear the ‘shirt, skirt, and trouser’ combination.

That’s a problem because the shirt keeps coming untucked when crew bend and stretch.”

Another said: “I stretched up during a trial and my shirt came flying out of my waist, giving everyone an eyeful.

“I can see how this would be popular among some passengers but it’s a big ‘no no’ for the crew.”

And a third said: “There have been reports of women being embarrassed when stretching on board and suddenly their underwear is on view after the shirt becomes untucked.”

EasyJet ran trials with the new uniform involving 150 crew over 12 weeks.

Bosses say they collated feedback and made changes to “ensure the uniform was robust, comfortable and fit for purpose”.

It added: “Investment into the quality of the uniform has been a key focus in the process.”
