When most people picture retirement, Florida often comes to mind, but a new study found that certain California cities could be a better option.

A new analysis from Retirement Living, a platform for retirement planning services, identified the best cities in the state for retirees, weighing factors like housing affordability, poverty rates, and the percentage of senior residents.

Topping the list is Roseville, located just outside Sacramento. According to the report, Roseville has a median home price of $635,000, a low poverty rate of 5.6% and nearly 19% of the population is over 65.

Oceanside and Torrance ranked second and third, respectively.

Both have large senior populations and are in close proximity to beaches. Torrance has the highest share of seniors on the list at 21.6%, but the city also has the highest home prices, with a median sale price of $1.3 million.

Oceanside, where one in five residents is 65 or older, has a median home price of $850,500 and a rent average of $2,293 per month.
