Kroger, the parent company of Ralphs and Food 4 Less, plans to close about 60 stores over the next 18 months.

“As a result of these store closures, Kroger expects a modest financial benefit. Kroger is committed to reinvesting these savings back into the customer experience, and as a result, this will not impact full-year guidance. Kroger will offer roles in other stores to all associates currently employed at affected stores,” the company said in an SEC report.

The company didn’t specify which stores would be closing. KTLA also reached out to Kroger but didn’t receive a statement in time for publication.

Kroger operates a total of 422 stores in California, according to its website, including 321 food stores, 93 convenience stores, and eight jewelry stores. The company employs over 32,000 associates in the Golden State.

In total, Kroger operates 2,731 grocery retail stores across 35 states.
