Authorities are searching for a suspect after a female was found dead inside a Ventura County residence over the weekend.
Deputies responded to “multiple calls stating a female may have been murdered” shortly after 9 p.m. on the 12000 block of Sisar Road in an unincorporated area of Santa Paula, the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office stated in a post on Facebook Monday morning.
Investigators confirmed that a female was found dead in the residence and that evidence indicated she was the victim of a homicide. Authorities have not announced the name or age of the deceased victim.
Detectives with the Sheriff’s Major Crimes Bureau have taken over the investigation and are searching for the suspect, who remains outstanding. No description of the suspect was provided.
The Sheriff’s Office stated that the incident appeared to be isolated.
