Firefighters used a rope to hoist a man who was stuck in a manhole to safety early Sunday morning.
The Los Angeles Fire Department stated that the technical rescue occurred around 2:15 p.m. in the 12400 block of Osborne Street in Pacoima. One man was stuck in a manhole when crews arrived.
Using a rope system to reach the man, he was successfully hoisted to the surface for medical treatment. Video from the Citizen App shows a large law enforcement presence at the scene.
LAFD did not disclose the man’s condition.
It is also unknown how or why the man was in the manhole in the first place.
