Man found shot to death in East Los Angeles

A suspect remains at large after a man was found shot to death in East Los Angeles Thursday night.

Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputies responded to a neighborhood on the 1500 block of South Sunol Drive around 10:20 p.m.

Deputies found a man lying on the road suffering from gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene. No suspect was found nearby and the circumstances leading up to the fatal shooting remain unclear.

Roads in the neighborhood were cordoned off as authorities investigated the area.

The victim’s identity was not released. No further details were provided as the case remains under investigation.
