Hollywood’s El Capitan Theatre is celebrating the arrival of the live-action version of the Disney classic “Lilo & Stitch.”
Special screenings of the movie are available all day from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. on Friday.
Previews of the film, which started on Thursday have already raked in $14 million, which is possibly a new Disney record.
“’Lilo & Stitch,’ the wildly funny and touching story of a lonely Hawaiian girl and the fugitive alien who helps to mend her broken family,” the synopsis explained. “A live-action reimagining of Disney’s 2002 animated classic, Lilo & Stitch’ is directed by Dean Fleischer Camp, the Oscar-nominated filmmaker behind the animated feature film ‘Marcel the Shell with Shoes On.'”
The film stars Maia Kealoha as young Lilo alongside actors Sydney Elizebeth Agudong, Billy Magnussen, Tia Carrere, Hannah Waddingham, Chris Sanders, with Courtney B. Vanceand Zach Galifianakis.
“Lilo & Stitch” is in theaters now.
