One person was hospitalized after shots were fired at Dockweiler Beach in Playa del Rey Saturday night.
Los Angeles police received reports of the shooting around 7:08 p.m. Officers arriving at the scene found the victim, identified only as a 40-year-old man, suffering from a gunshot wound.
He was transported to the hospital in unknown condition.

Video from the scene showed a large portion of the beach parking lot cordoned off by police tape. Crowds of beachgoers were seen leaving the area for safety.
Police also investigated a sedan in the parking lot that had sustained heavy damage to the front end. Authorities did not provide details on how the vehicle may be connected to the shooting.
The circumstances surrounding the incident remain unclear. No arrests have been made.
