Two people were killed, including a toddler, and at least three others were hospitalized after a crash on the 5 Freeway in Anaheim Saturday.
The crash happened on the northbound lanes of the 5 near Magnolia Avenue at 7:10 p.m., according to the California Highway Patrol.
The two people killed in the crash were described as a toddler and an elderly man.
Footage of the scene shows two SUVs were involved in the deadly collision. A white Chevrolet SUV appeared to have rolled over before landing on an embankment next to the freeway lanes.
The impact also left a dark-colored Ford SUV facing the wrong way on the freeway shoulder. Both vehicles were totaled in the collision and a large amount of auto debris was scattered across the road.
The other patients were transported to a local trauma center with unknown conditions.
Although the cause of the crash remains under investigation, CHP officials said impairment may have been a factor.
A SigAlert was issued for the 5 freeway as authorities worked to clear the scene. No further details were released as the incident remains under investigation.
