A man was stabbed during a fight at a parking garage near a light rail station in Pasadena Thursday morning.
The stabbing was reported just before 7:45 a.m. and, when deputies arrived at the Sierra Madre Villa station in the 100 block of North Halstead Street, they found a man who had been stabbed multiple times in his upper torso, said Sgt. Sutton of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
That man was hospitalized with life-threatening wounds, and another man was taken into custody at the scene.
Deputies believe the two men got into an altercation on the bridge between the station platform and the parking garage, prompting one man to produce a knife and stab the other.
Neither man’s identity has been released, and it does not appear the two knew each other before the incident, authorities said.
The station was closed as investigators processed the scene, and the Metro A Line train was bypassing that stop.
