Actor Haley Joel Osment, famous for his role as the child who saw “dead people” in the 1999 thriller “The Sixth Sense” starring Bruce Willis, was reportedly arrested at a ski resort in Mammoth Lakes for public intoxication, according to multiple media reports.

Details about the April 8 incident are limited but police were called at around 2 p.m. while members of the resort’s ski patrol waited with the 37-year-old for the cops to arrive, according to TMZ, who broke the news.

The beleaguered actor, like so many other people, reportedly lost his Altadena home in the recent firestorms and has apparently been having struggles with his insurance company, who allegedly denied a claim to a replacement home he found.

Sgt. Jason Heilman with the Mammoth Lakes Police Department told People that Osment was booked for public intoxication and possession of an unidentified controlled substance.

The Mono County Sheriff’s also confirmed his arrest to the outlet, adding that the county district attorney will decide whether to prosecute the case.

Osment has run afoul of the law before, getting arrested in 2006 for an alcohol-related single-vehicle crash that left him with injuries.

In that case, he plead no contest to driving under the influence and possession of marijuana. He was ordered to pay a $1,500 fine, attend six months of Alcoholic Anonymous meetings, 60 hours of addiction rehabilitation and serve three years of probation.

In 2018, according to People, the actor was involved in a “public verbal scuffle” on Super Bowl Sunday with American Airline employees at McCarran International Airport in Las Vegas that police were called to.

Since getting famous as a child, the actor has continued to land film and television gigs, including memorable runs on “Entourage,” “Teachers,” “They Boys” among others.
