A suspected car thief led Los Angeles police officers on a chase on the southside of the city on Friday afternoon.
It was not immediately clear when the chase began. It ended with an officer executing a textbook PIT maneuver in Compton, sending the vehicle spinning and coming to a stop on the sidewalk of a residential area.
Officers quickly surrounded the vehicle, and the driver surrendered minutes later without further incident.
