Police are searching for three to four suspects who broke into a Woodland Hills home and zip-tied one resident before taking off with a safe Sunday night.
Officers responded to the home invasion call on the 23000 block of Erwin Street around 7 p.m.
One victim was sleeping in a bedroom when they were approached and bound by the intruders, a Los Angeles Police Department spokesperson confirmed to KTLA.
A second victim who was in the laundry room at the time of the break-in was also held in the home for several hours.
The extent of any injuries to the victims was unclear.
The thieves did escape with a safe but it was unclear what was inside.
No description of the suspects has been released.
