Dairy Queen is inviting ice cream lovers to celebrate its 85th birthday with an extra sweet and extra cheap treat next week.

From March 24 through April 6, the soft-serve dessert chain is offering customers an 85-cent small Blizzard with a purchase of $1 or more.

The deal will be offered on the DQ Mobile App for rewards members, company officials announced in a press release.

Dairy Queen is also celebrating with its highly anticipated summer menu, including new flavors and some returning fan-favorites. The summer menu will arrive on March 31.

The new flavors are Mixing Bowl Mashup, described as “a sweet mix of brownie batter and chocolate chip cookie dough swirled into world-famous DQ soft serve,” and Dipped Strawberry Cheesecake, described as, “creamy cheesecake pieces, choco chunks, strawberry topping and soft serve combine for a decadent summer bite.”

Returning flavors include S’mores, Confetti Cake and Cotton Candy, according to the press release.

“For 85 years, we have been serving up smiles, sweet traditions and the most iconic frozen treats around. We figured what better way to celebrate this milestone than by giving our fans even more reason to indulge in their favorite flavors by offering them an 85-cent Blizzard,” said Maria Hokanson, the executive vice president of marketing at American Dairy Queen Corp.

According to the company’s website, the first Dairy Queen location opened in 1940 in Joliet, Illinois.
