LSU football is hosting the No. 2 overall recruit in the class of 2026 on a visit. According to On3’s Steve Wiltfong, five-star offensive tackle Immanuel Iheanacho was at LSU on Tuesday.
The 2026 prospect’s trip to Baton Rouge comes ahead of scheduled visits to Maryland, Oregon, Penn State, Georgia, and Alabama in the spring and summer. Iheanacho listed LSU along with the aforementioned school in his top-11 schools in February, per Wiltfong.
The same February report quoted Iheanacho’s favorite as Oregon with the Bulldogs and Nittany Lions also in the top mix. With multiple visits scheduled for the coming months, it seems that one of the nation’s top recruits is keeping his options open.
According to On3’s Industry Rankings, the Baltimore, MD native is the state’s top prospect and No. 2 at his position and nationally. The outlet lists the Terrapins as the favorite to land Iheanacho’s commitment. Maryland already has a top-five overall prospect in its 2026 class thanks to the commitment of Zion Elee.
Should LSU’s hospitality make a difference and Iheanacho choose the Tigers, he would join a 2026 class that ranks first in the SEC and third nationally. The class has two offensive line commits already in Brysten Martinez and Jalen Chapman. Adding Iheanacho would further bolster a unit that’s churned out NFL-level talent under head coach Brian Kelly.
