A woman was arrested and charged in a shooting at a liquor store that left five people injured in the New City neighborhood Friday night, according to Chicago police.
The suspect, 21-year-old Angeles Flores, was arrested Friday around 10:05 p.m. in the 1600 block of West Congress Parkway. She was identified as the offender who shot and injured four people at Goldmore Food and Liquors, 1949 W. 51st St., that same evening.
Several people were inside the liquor store when an argument erupted between two groups, the Tribune previously reported. That’s when Flores pulled out the gun and fired shots before a male who was accompanying her also started shooting at the victims.
One of the victims, a male, also started shooting and apparently injured Flores in the process.
Flores is facing three felony counts for attempted first degree murder and one felony count for aggravated discharge of a firearm in an occupied building. She is due in court Monday.
