WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — Units were responding to a fire in a row house in Northeast D.C. on Saturday evening.
The DC Fire and EMS Department (DCFD) said in a post just before 9:40 p.m. that units were in the 1500 block of Downing St. NE for a fire in a two-story row house.
The fire was in the basement. As of 9:45 p.m., the fire had been extinguished.
DCFD said that since there was a battery reportedly involved, the Hazmat Unit was requested to respond. An additional truck and air unit responded as well.
No injuries were reported.
