RICHMOND, Va (DC News Now) – Two championship games in Richmond as the Class 6 title will be decided in Virginia.
Osbourn Park Yellowjackets took on Manchester Lancer for the girls Class 6 crown. The Yellowjackets and Lancer saw a back and forth game until Osbourn Park pulled away in the second half. Jane Salinas lead all scorers with 23, as the Yellowjackets take home the Class 6 title beating Manchester 60-48.
After that game, the boys game featured the South Lakes Seahawks and the C.G. Woodson Cavaliers. South Lakes trailed after the first two quarters, but a massive second half by Jordan Scott lead the Seahawks to a 68-60 win. This win completes the back to back for South Lakes, establishing this group as one of the best in the history of not only South Lakes but Virginia basketball as a whole.
