MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The West Virginia University baseball team opens Big 12 action this weekend with a road series at Oklahoma State. First pitch from O’Brate Stadium on Friday and Saturday is set for 7 p.m. ET while Sunday is scheduled for 2 p.m. ET.
All three games will air on ESPN+ and can be heard on the Mountaineers Sports Network on all radio affiliates as well as the Varsity Network, WVU Gameday App, and WVUSports.com. Live stats will also be available on wvusports.com.
The Mountaineers are 15-1 this season after defeating Towson, 16-5, in their most recent game. Sophomore Spencer Barnett hit two home runs in the game, including a game-ending grand slam for the run-rule victory.
Junior Skylar King is leading West Virginia with a .426 batting average, followed closely by senior Brodie Kresser at .405. Barnett leads the team with three home run,s while four others have two, including junior Sam White, who leads the team with 17 RBI.
On the mound, redshirt senior Griffin Kirn has a 2.35 ERA with a team-high 22 strikeouts in 23.0 innings. Junior Carson Estridge leads the team with a 0.52 ERA in 17.1 innings pitched out of the bullpen.
