WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — Hundreds of Pepco customers were left in the dark after a power outage hit the Columbia Heights community in D.C. on Sunday night.
Just before 10 p.m. on March 9, Pepco’s outage map showed over 1,600 customers without service in the Northwest area.
The map demonstrated the outages were centralized along 16th Street.
Pepco told DC News Now that service went out in the area due to an “equipment issue.”
The utility company said crews were working to restore services, and power is expected to be back on around 1 a.m. on Monday, March 10.
