KTLA Morning News anchor Chris Schauble was shocked when he had a dream come true just in time for his birthday.
Chris’ actual birthday is on Saturday but his Morning News friends decided to surprise him a day early when he unknowingly tossed to a live shot of his own daughter Shelbi at KTLA’s sister station KSN in Joplin, Missouri.
“I’m here to give you your birthday forecast,” Shelbi said. “Thank you for being my sunshine on my cloudy days and always being there by my side to weather the storms of life. I love you always.”
Shelbi graduated from UCLA and is currently a weathercaster at KSN working on her meteorology degree.
“This got me in the feels,” Chris said as he reached for some tissue to wipe the tears from his eyes.
The surprise was a bucket list moment for Chris.
“You always said, ‘I just want to be able to someday toss to my daughter on TV.’ They made your dream come true,” co-anchor Megan Henderson said referring to producers Christina Fawaz and Leila Shaloub.
“That was fantastic. That was a home run. I had tears in my eyes,” Chris said.
