Orange County Coast and San Diego County Coastal Areas are included in an updated high surf advisory issued by the National Weather Service on Monday at 1:01 p.m. The advisory is in effect until 10 p.m.
“Large breaking waves of 4 to 8 feet with isolated sets to 9 feet,” can be expected according to the NWS San Diego CA. “Highest surf will be in southern San Diego County. Surf will subside tonight and Tuesday.”
“Strong rip currents leading to dangerous swimming conditions and localized beach erosion,” according to the NWS. “Inexperienced swimmers should remain out of the water due to dangerous surf conditions.”
