Donning a “Make America Goth Again” cap and waving around a chainsaw, the “Mistress of Dark” herself took a stand on social media this weekend.
In a post to Instagram on Saturday, Cassandra Peterson, also known as “Elvira,” said she was donating her Tesla.
The video showed the Tesla sedan being towed away. On the side of the car read, “Elon Sux,” with the X being the same font as the social media site of the same name.
Peterson didn’t state her exact grievances with Elon Musk, who has served as CEO of Tesla since 2008, but her outfit resembled what Musk wore at a recent CPAC appearance. Wearing sunglasses, a black “MAGA” hat (with Goth used as the G instead of ‘great’) and a t-shirt under a blazer, Peterson waves a chainsaw in the air, just like Musk did at the conservative conference last month.

Musk, the world’s wealthiest man, has taken a role in the White House as a “special government employee.” Since January, he’s worked closely with President Donald Trump and is the head of the Department of Government Efficiency, or DOGE, officially a temporary contracted office designed to cut costs and tackle the national debt.
In the weeks since working with Trump, Musk has led efforts to downsize the government, laying to the firing of thousands of federal employees and the ending of programs to aid foreign countries. Musk has come under fire from critics for his views on the media, and on programs like social security.
Evidently, Peterson took issue with his attacks on NPR, which he has called a “hard left propaganda machine.” She said she was donating the car to the public broadcasting organization.
Peterson has joined Sheryl Crowe as celebrities to ditch their Tesla’s and donate to NPR. In a scathing social media post last month, the music star blasted “President Musk” and said she no longer wanted to align with one of his companies.
