WASHIBNGTON (DC News Now) — A teenage boy was hospitalized after someone shot him in Southeast D.C. on Saturday night, police said.
The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) said officers responded to the 5100 block of Hanna Place SE just before 7:15 p.m. There, they found a 16-year-old boy suffering from a gunshot wound to his upper body.
He was taken to a hospital while conscious and breathing.
Preiminarily, MPD said the shooting happened during a dispute between people who knew each other.
Officers were canvassing the area, still looking for a suspect as of 8:10 p.m. Officials described the suspect as a male wearing a black Nike hoodie, black pants and black Nike boots.
