People across the region have received a bit of a spring preview with temperatures soaring into the high 80s.
As a result, several record highs were set on Thursday across the Southland, according to the National Weather Service. They include:
- Downtown Los Angeles: 88; Previous: 86 (2020)
- Los Angeles International Airport: 86; Previous: 85 (2020)
- Long Beach: 88; Previous: 84 (2020)
- UCLA: 85; Previous: 83 (2020)
- Paso Robles: 82; Previous: 80 (1986)
- Santa Ana: 93 (tie); Previous: 93 (1932)
Friday was expected to be the beginning of a cool-down period. Highs on Friday included 73 in Los Angeles, 71 in Anaheim, 78 in Riverside, 61 in Long Beach and 74 in Burbank.
