Crews knocked down a destructive pallet fire reported in Sun Valley on Monday night.
The Los Angeles Fire Department reported at 9:37 p.m. that crews were on the scene of a large outside fire consuming pallet storage, multiple vehicles (including box trucks) and other items in the storage yard.
According to LAFD, the storage yard where the fire erupted is located on the 7000 block of North Radford Avenue.
“Crews are prioritizing the protection of nearby commercial buildings while continuing to douse the flames with heavy streams (large hose lines),” LAFD said in a release.
Unconfirmed reports said the flames were burning a commercial building, a semi-truck and two box trucks as of 9:50 p.m.
Sky5 was overhead and reported seeing crews quickly get to work on multiple cars and other vehicles up in flames. The video from this coverage is currently uploading and will be available shortly.
KTLA’s Gil Leyvas said around 10:14 p.m. that he heard LAFD assessing the situation, possibly calling in a hazardous material team and heavy machinery to move the damaged vehicles.
Officials did not immediately report any injuries as a result of this fire and said the cause is under investigation.
