In a move that was not unexpected as Universal Studios Hollywood gets closer to unveiling its new “Fast and Furious”-inspired rollercoaster, the theme park will be closing another attraction based on the film franchise.
Fast & Furious—Supercharged, the final attraction of the world famous Studio Tour, will ride off into the sunset on March 10 after a decade of adrenaline-pumping entertainment.
The immersive 3D experience takes Studio Tour guests into the underground hideout of Dominic Toretto, Letty Ortiz and Roman Pearce as they embark on a high-speed escape from the villainous Owen Shaw.
Theme park guests and lovers of the film franchise are encouraged to make one last visit to ride alongside the “Fast and Furious” family before it closes up shop for good.
Despite the closure of Supercharged, it’s never truly goodbye, as the franchise will “See You Again” when the highly anticipated new outdoor rollercoaster Fast & Furious: Hollywood Drift opens some time next year.

Universal Studios has not said what will ultimately take Supercharged’s place on the Studio Tour, although an announcement will be made “soon.”
Rumors have swirled that it could be an attraction based on the smash-hit movie-musical “Wicked,” after a Universal Studios executive teased “secret plans” for the film’s inclusion at its parks.
From 2001 to 2013, the segment of the Studio Tour was reserved for Curse of the Mummy’s Tomb, a revolving tunnel shrouded in darkness based off the 1999 Brendan Fraser-led film. In the decades prior, the tunnel was a snow-packed glacier that featured a simulated avalanche.
