The moment that fans of the NBA have been waiting for is just days away, and the prices to get in the arena are meeting the hype.
New Los Angeles Lakers star Luka Doncic, who was acquired in a shocking trade on Feb. 1, will have his chance soon to take on his old squad. The game is set to be broadcast on TNT for a national audience that loves a good reunion, and it will likely be one of the most-viewed NBA games of the regular season. But to get inside the arena, that’s going to cost a pretty penny.

According to online ticket seller StubHub, the game launched from the 29th best-selling Lakers home game of the season to No. 3 after the Doncic trade. In the 24 hours after the trade was reported, ticket sales increased by 2.5 times.
“We suggest fans don’t wait to buy tickets for Tuesday’s game–it’s set to be a historic night,” said Adam Budelli, spokesperson for StubHub.
The day after the trade, views for the Lakers on StubHub increased by 352%.
The average price per ticket sold for Tuesday is $436, while the “get-in” price is $260 as of Thursday.
We’ll see if the game is worth the price of admission. The Lakers take on the Mavericks at home on Tuesday at 7 p.m.
