FAIRFAX COUNTY, Va. (DC News Now) — A student was found with a gun at a high school in Fairfax County on Thursday morning, officials said.
The Fairfax County Police Department (FCPD) said an Edison High School Student told a School Resource Officer (SRO) about a possible firearm on school property.
The SRO brought in other officers and found a 16-year-old student with a gun.
No one was hurt.
The student was arrested and the investigation is still ongoing. Officials said they will stay at the high school to ensure safety in the area.
