MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Md. (DC News Now) — Montgomery County police are encouraging drivers to use caution after water spilled in Germantown Thursday morning.
In a post on X, the Montgomery County Department of Police said Clopper Road was shut down from Game Preserve to Waring Station Road due to a water main break.
However, in an update, WSSC Water confirmed with DC News Now that crews were installing a 24-inch water main when the cap dislodged. The incident caused water to spill onto the road.
The company said the water was shut off, and Cloopper Road was reopened on Thursday morning.
