Nike and Kim Kardashian are teaming up for a new women’s brand.

“Designed to sculpt. Engineered to perform,” Nike said in a media release.

On Tuesday morning, the two introduced NikeSKIMS. The name combines the athletic powerhouse with Kardashian’s shapewear and clothing brand. She co-founded the brand alongside Emme and Jens Grede.

“We’re energized by the opportunity to build a new brand and shake things up for the next generation of athletes with NikeSKIMS,” says Heidi O’Neill, president of consumer, product and brand at Nike Inc. “This partnership brings together the best of both brands and unlocks an incredible opportunity to disrupt the industry with our shared passion and commitment to innovation. We will invite even more athletes into sport and movement with product that makes them feel strong and sexy.”

The innovative and inclusive line will offer training apparel, footwear and accessories to “meet the unique needs and preferences of women athletes around the world.” However, don’t think you have to be a Caitlin Clark, Serena Williams, Angel or Simone Biles to wear these items.

“If you have a body, you are an athlete,” Nike emphasized.

This isn’t the first time the reality star’s line has worked with athletes.

Skims provided athleisure for the United States Olympics team for the 2020 and 2024 Summer Olympic and Paralympic Games as well as the 2022 Winter Olympics. In 2023, Skims announced a multiyear partnership with the NBA, the WNBA and USA Basketball.

While the brand initially started with women’s shapewear, it slowly grew into apparel and launched a menswear line in 2023. That campaign featured male athletes like soccer sensation Neymar Jr., San Francisco 49ers’ defensive lineman Nick Bosa and more.

“Nike and SKIMS share a deep commitment to innovation, inclusivity and pushing boundaries, driven by an unwavering belief in the power of women,” Kardashian said. “This partnership is the culmination of that shared vision, delivering product that is meticulously designed to sculpt and perform for every body. Every single detail has been obsessed over and carefully considered. We’re incredibly excited to unveil our first collection this spring.”

The partnership also builds on Nike’s commitment to female empowerment, like growing women’s businesses and pushing females to “dream big.”

The first NikeSKIMS collection will launch online and at select Nike stores in the United States this spring with an expected international launch in 2026.
