Police are searching for a hit-and-run driver who left a man severely injured in North Hollywood.
On Feb. 7, the victim, a 67-year-old man, was walking near Cahuenga Boulevard and Burbank Boulevard when the suspect struck the pedestrian.
The suspect continued speeding away without checking on the injured man. The vehicle was described as a possibly silver-colored SUV or crossover, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
Paramedics transported the victim to the hospital for treatment.
“Motorists are reminded that if they become involved in a collision, they should pull over and stop as soon as it is safe to do so, notify emergency services, and remain at the scene to identify themselves,” LAPD said.
A reward of up to $25,000 is available to anyone who provides information leading to the suspect’s identification, apprehension, and conviction.
Anyone with information on the incident is asked to call LAPD Investigator Takishita or Ramirez, at 818-644-8116. The public can also call the LAPD at 1-877-527-3247.
